A new home

Syracuse, NY — This is the end, everyone.

After two year, and more than 300 blog posts, the eastcoastpaperboy.com is moving. The new site, eastcoastpost.co, is up and running with the help of my cousin, jfm2k1.

Now that the blog is running on wordpress.org, you can be sure that we’ll be able to take full advantage of all the interweb has to offer.

One day soon, when you visit eastcoastpaperboy.com, you’ll be redirected to the eastcoastpost.co immediately. But for now, this will be the last post on this site.

Before I go, I have to thank everyone who has deliberately or inadvertently come across this site. I hope you’ve enjoyed reading this stuff as much as I’ve liked writing it. If you haven’t gotten tired us already, visit the new blog and share your thoughts. And if you like to write, please let me know. New writers are always welcome.

Back on Top; AT&T to be largest wireless carrier in the U.S.

Pleasant Valley, NYAT&T announced today they will be purchasing T-Mobile from Duetsche Telekom AG in an all cash deal worth $39 billion.

This acquisition would make AT&T the largest wireless carrier in the United States with a customer base that surpasses Verizon Wireless, the current largest carrier.

This marks a new era for AT&T in the post iPhone era. Earlier this year they lost their exclusive carrier contract for the iPhone(US only) when Apple announced the CDMA Verizon iPhone. This is a strategic move by AT&T as they look toward new avenues for growth.

With all this said the FCC will still have to approve the deal. If approved it would then only leave three major carriers in the U.S. One concern that may arise would be the lack of competition and possible monopoly in the industry.

Some people have their work published in The New Yorker…

Syracuse, NY — …others have it featured on inexpensivefence.com. Mom would be so proud.

A Poem and Polaroids

Pleasant Valley, NY“untitled”

I wandered lonely on the ground

The snow doth melt and wash away,

A season full of muted sound,

Will return again, some day;

The one that stares will soon appear,

From the ground, in search of tears.

Home Sweet Home

Pleasant Valley, NYMelo is finally back.

Tonight Carmelo Anthony, a Brooklyn native and Syracuse University basketball star, took the floor at Madison Square Garden to a standing ovation and chants of “Melo, Melo, Melo” throughout the whole game. It was a New York welcome fit for a hometown kid coming home.

Donning the number 7 jersey, Melo scored 27 points and 10 rebounds in the Knicks 114 – 108 win over the Milwaukee Bucks tonight.

Overall the team looked very good on the court and showed a lot of promise of what they can do once they get a couple of practices under their belt. I don’t know about you but I am definitely looking forward to their upcoming games especially the one on Sunday against the Miami Heat on ESPN at 8 p.m.

Below is the commerical the MSG network has been playing on a constant loop all night and before the Knicks starting lineup introductions.
